Katherine Torres-Pummill is the General Manager of Recurrent’s Military vertical. She oversees all content and revenue operations for Task & Purpose, The War Zone, and We Are The Mighty, as well as Recurrent’s best-in-class events, Military Influencer Conference (MIC), and MilSpouseFest (MSF).  

She is a New York City native and U.S. Air Force veteran spouse with over 15 years of experience in media management, marketing, and sales. Katherine joined Recurrent in 2022 as the VP of Military Partnerships at Recurrent Ventures, where she was responsible for growing advertising by 75% YoY. In collaboration with partners such as USAA, Katherine has also overseen Recurrent’s production of sponsored movie and TV screenings of Military releases, such as “Masters of the Air” and “Top Gun: Maverick.” 

Previously, she was Senior Vice President of Branded Content and Partnerships for We Are The Mighty. In her five years with the company, she developed the advertising business for the media brand and MIC, in addition to establishing partnerships and production work with military and veteran organizations. During her tenure, Katherine secured six-figure partnerships, established relationships with key stakeholders, and implemented marketing strategies with brands such as Victory Capital, USAA, Amazon Studios, and Veterans United.

Prior to We Are The Mighty, she spent much of her career as a National Media Executive at the Associated Press and has worked at CBS and Time Inc. Katherine is the 2015 recipient of the Associated Press’s Oliver S. Gramling Scholarship Award and was named one of Cynopsis’ Top Women in Media: Directors Who Do It All in 2020. In 2022, Katherine was accepted into Chief, the only private membership network focused on connecting and supporting women executive leaders.

Katherine began her career studying Political Science at New York’s Queens College and earned a Master’s degree in Media Management from the New School. In her spare time, she mentors service members through Veterati, a nonprofit that promotes increased roles for active-duty service members currently transitioning out of the military. She resides in Los Angeles with her husband and son.
