John Coyne

John Coyne is a digital media operator with over ten years of experience in the home and garden category. As Recurrent’s General Manager of BobVila.com and Kitchenistic, he is responsible for all business and editorial operations.

John joined Recurrent in 2019 upon the acquisition of BobVila.com. Previously, he had served for three years as General Manager of the brand’s former owner, Vila Media. In his nine years with the company, John held several editorial, product, and leadership roles, including Associate General Manager, Product Director/ Executive Editor, and Product Manager/Senior Editor.

Prior to Vila Media, he spent time at AOL as a Web Producer. He began his career as an Editorial Assistant at Penguin Random House.

He holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania in English. He resides in New Haven, CT and Hamilton, MT with his wife and son.
