Andrew Perlman is the Co-Founder, Head of M&A and Corporate Development for Recurrent, and the co-founder and Managing Partner of North Equity. North is a venture equity firm that acquires, revitalizes, transforms, and scales digital media brands, alongside its investments in SaaS technology and ESG initiatives. 

Andrew is responsible for all M&A activity and strategic business development at the firm. In just over three years North acquired nearly 25 properties including iconic titles such as The Drive, Popular Science, Domino, and SAVEUR. In 2021, North introduced Recurrent as the parent company to their growing digital media portfolio and has since helped it continue to expand through the acquisitions of MEL magazine, Futurism, JancisRobinson.com, Donut Media, and more. 

Prior to joining North, Andrew spent over six years as the Chief Executive Officer of XpresSpa, FORM Holdings, and its predecessor company Vringo where he led the overall business operations and strategy as well as capital raising. During his tenure, he also oversaw five acquisitions and the NASDAQ listing of the company. Andrew has also served as Vice President of Business Development at EMI Music, SVP of Music and Digital at Classic Media, and held roles at early mobile content companies. 

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from George Washington University’s School of Business where he continues to be involved with the Entrepreneurship Program. He currently serves on the board of the Bahamas National Trust and is passionate about their work to ​​protect over 2.2 million acres of terrestrial and marine habitats, mitigate climate change through natural solutions, combat the effects of plastics in our environment, and public environmental education initiatives. He resides in Miami, FL with his wife and two children.
