Katherine Torres-Pummill Named GM of Recurrent’s Military Vertical
NEW YORK, NY — [May 15, 2025] — Recurrent has named Katherine Torres-Pummill, a media executive and U.S. Air Force veteran spouse, as general manager of its Military vertical. She will oversee content and revenue operations for Task & Purpose, The War Zone and We Are The Mighty, along with Recurrent’s military events, the Military Influencer Conference and MilSpouseFest.
Torres-Pummill joined Recurrent in 2022 as Vice President of Military Partnerships and drove a 75 percent year-over-year increase in advertising revenue. She developed national campaigns with partners including USAA, A24 and Caresource, and led military screenings of films such as Top Gun: Maverick and series such as Masters of the Air.
“Katherine has a rare combination of operational expertise and lived military family experience,” said Andrew Perlman, CEO of Recurrent Ventures. “She has already proven her ability to grow partnerships and expand our military portfolio, and we are confident she will strengthen both the reach and authenticity of our brands.”
“Recurrent’s military brands and events are built on trust and service,” Torres-Pummill said. “As both a media executive and a military veteran spouse, I know how important it is to create spaces where these stories are represented with authenticity. I’m honored to lead this work and excited about the impact ahead.”
Before joining Recurrent, Torres-Pummill was senior vice president of branded content and partnerships for We Are The Mighty, where she built the company’s advertising business and expanded the Military Influencer Conference. Earlier in her career, she was a national media executive at The Associated Press and held positions at CBS and Time Inc.
She was named one of Cynopsis’ Top Women in Media: Directors Who Do It All in 2020 and received the Associated Press Oliver S. Gramling Scholarship Award in 2015.
A New York City native, Torres-Pummill studied political science at Queens College and earned a master’s degree in media management from The New School. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and son.
